The first release on the So Future label.

So Future is a platform I founded in 2016 as a monthly club night in an east London basement. Since then it has grown to become a creative collective and multiplatform music brand dedicated to showcasing artist, producer and DJ talent in underground and alternative Black music scenes around the world; distinctly prioritising forward-thinking sounds over genre confines.

I’m super excited to be finally be releasing the first installment of So Future’e Algorhythms series.

What is it?

Algorhythm - a fresh (musical) take on something familiar.

The concept is simple: simultaneously celebrating the G.O.A.Ts who have given us some of our favourite, genre-defining music, while showcasing the next generation of talented music producers creating exciting, genre-blending new sounds.

Vol. 1 celebrates Missy Elliott with 9 remixes and edits of her songs, from a global selection of talented producers that make forward-thinking new music across the 'future sounds' spectrum. The compilation includes remixes covering Gqom, Baile, Amapiano, House, Club Music and more.

Featuring productions by VRSYJNES, Benaiah, August Mae, Citizen Boy, Boston Chery, SicStyle, kenzel & Sartana.
